Founding Partner
David Wilson is the founding attorney at David Wilson PLLC. After passing his bar exam, David became a specialist in trademark research for an Illinois law firm. While working with the Illinois commercial litigation business, David gained invaluable experience servicing numerous prominent corporations.
11 years later, David felt moved to launch his own practice, and he has since established himself as a seasoned and competent champion for his clients’ intellectual property rights.
In his own current practice, David brings his professional capabilities and intellectual property experience to a more personalized firm environment. He offers a detail oriented approach that’s critical to intellectual property litigation and combines it with unwavering dedication to his clients.

Patricia Thompson is a partner at David Wilson PLLC, and started her Law career in New York in 1991 as an Intellectual Property litigation associate. Over the years, Patricia has advised a broad range of clients in the areas of Intellectual Property Law, including trademark litigation, trademark prosecution, evaluation and clearance of trademarks and domain name disputes.
Additionally, Patricia has assisted clients in copyright registration, litigation matters, patent litigation, and prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Patricia enjoys sharing her knowledge by educating her peers and rising lawyers. She delivers guest lectures at law schools on Intellectual property law, the business of practicing law, and advanced writing techniques.

We monitor the digital landscape for potential infringements of your IP rights. There are many places online where potentially Infringing material could be found.
When any infringements are found we send out a notice of infringement and seek to have the infringing material taken down.
Most infringers cease after a notice has been sent. However, if the infringer persists then we’ll move to the litigation stage if you instruct us to do so.
